Sliedrecht is a small town near Dordrecht, famous for it's dredge industry. By analysing the different types of shops and functions in the citycentre that's located on an old dike, i found a decline on the eastern part of the shopping centre. On the west site the old restaurants and bars lost their appeal because of cartraffic that domminates that area. By rerouting car-traffic a new possibility came apparent, a group of three public spaces that form a trianguar area when connected.

These public spaces would contain each a static function (the Church, a parc and a libary). Within the traingel functions like housing or shops can transform without damaging the total triangular shape. This way there won't be a dead part of the shoppingcentre like there will be when nothing is done.
